Hey Bob, where do you find room in there, it's sooooo small and crowded

Nice shop.

Neat freak? Nah, just a new, yet uncluttered shop. But my wife does say I designed and run the shop like a laboratory, true to my training as a biochemist.

Hey Louis,

Is that a Chinese violin I see hanging there?

Robert,

No, that’s a sloppy attempt at a gourd banjo. A buddy of mine bought it on
eBay and it turned out to be a piece of junk. I did my best but the shop may
be its final resting place.

I enjoy threads like these, I always pick up little tips and ideas to incorporate in my own shop. Here's my shop, in an upstairs bedroom in my house.

That's "A Mighty Wind" on the dvd/tv if you were wondering.

I just freed up this corner of the shop, I think I'm going to build a high shelf and a bench below to use as a go-bar deck. Also, I highly recommend the Ridgid MSUV (Miter Saw Utility Vehicle) if you have a miter saw... Makes it real easy to stow out of the way, and takes seconds to set up for use. That's the gray dolly looking thing in front of the window.

And here's my #1 and #2 that have been "in-progress" forever, it's been a pretty busy life the last year or so.

Me too, I saw this" tuner on the wall" in one of the other shops and did the same! Very nice this way, off the bench and out of the way.

It's only 9' by 19' but I've managed to get a lot in there.

Rod,
Here's one of the tops without the cap on the X-brace. It's Carpathian spruce with mild bear claw for an SJ.
